The American Samoa Community College reserves the right to change policies, programs or fees, as approved by the Board of Higher Education (BHE), without previous written notice.
- Exception Policy - allows for exceptions to deadlines, policies, or procedures for students with extenuating circumstances.
- Academic Freedom Policy - defines the free search for truth and its free exposition.
- Acceptable Usage Policy - Guidelines for the proper use of technology assets at ASCC.
- Attendance Policy - lists total allowable absences and consequences of stopped/non-attendance.
- College Credit Equivalency Program - defines other ways to obtain credit toward a degree.
- Credit for Transfer Courses - credit for courses taken outside of ASCC.
- Credit by Examination - credit by testing out of classes.
- Credit for Work/Life Experience - credit toward a degree for work experience.
- Indepentent Study - an option for students who are unable to enroll in a course due to a schedule conflict, class cancellation, program requirement change, graduation or a transfer requirement.
- Credits Earned at Foreign (non U.S.) Colleges and Universities - credit for courses taken outside of the U.S.
- Distance Learning Courses - credit for DLCs.
- Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations - ASCC accepts Advanced Placement Examination scores for credit, and in some instances, placement.
